The Most Expensive SUVs Available In 2024 (2)

Luxury SUVs have quickly become the pinnacle of opulence and extravagance in the automotive industry. For decades the automotive industry tried selling us on luxury coupes and sedans, but with the rise of the SUV, they realized buyers were quickly gravitating to the extra space the models offered, and in the late 90s companies like Lexus, Lincoln, and BMW wised up and started offering models executives and celebrities wouldn't mind rolling up to the red carpet in. Today, every luxury brand offers a high-rider of some kind, but now we're reaching unheard-of levels of elegance and comfort.

We've compiled a list of the 10 most expensive luxury SUVs on the market today, and as you can imagine they come courtesy of the biggest names in the industry. Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Cadillac, Porsche; all of these companies will give you a model that will soak up the miles while comfortably cruising at speeds of up to 150 mph, and sometimes even more than that. Even though most of us will probably never be able to afford one of them, it's still nice to be prepared in case we hit it big.

The list is compiled of series production luxury vehicles, not one-offs or highly limited units. While you can find coachbuilders around the world happy to make you a single model that will easily eclipse seven figures, that isn't the focus here. We've also chosen to focus on one SUV per automaker because otherwise, this would be a very boring list. Vehicle have been listed in order of price, from cheapest to most expensive.

The Cadillac Escalade V is the pinnacle of American luxury barges. This fire-breathing monster has been outfitted with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces a blistering 682 horsepower that is capable of teleporting this three-ton SUV from a standstill to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, putting its pulling power on par with many sports cars. For 2025, the entire Escalade range has received minor updates, tweaking their looks, but also giving a serious bump to the luxury inside, with the focal point being the addition of a massive 55-inch display. New interior finishes and speaker upgrades are also in order, so if you're wondering where to place that extra 150k, this is a great spot.

As Mercedes-Benz's flagship electric SUV, the Maybach EQS is a testament to the future of luxury, and it's also the only EV on this list. In an attempt to get buyers more excited about the brand's electric offerings, the company deemed it necessary to release a Maybach version of the SUV, and while it doesn't add any more performance, it goes all in only luxury. With two-tone paint on the outside, it's hard to miss, but the interior is truly an oasis from the outside world, with gorgeous lighting and screens, incredibly plush seating meant to chauffeur VIPs around, and ambient lighting and incredible sound. With over 300 miles of range, this is a vehicle you melt away into on long drives, so we say it's pretty worthy of the Maybach name, and the price that goes with it.

Horsepower

572 hp

Top Speed

The Maserati Levante Trofeo is Maserati's best impression of SUV performance, and it does an incredible job since it features a Ferrari-derived V8 engine. This SUV combines Italian style with high performance, allowing you to cruise all the way up to 187 mph as you listen to the glorious twin-turbo V8 soundtrack. While it isn't the most focused machine, you'll be happy with the amount of performance it has to offer, and the interior is well-appointed despite sharing some switchgear with lesser Stellantis models. Unfortunately, this is the last year of the V8 powertrain and the company is sending it off with the Ultima versions, which are truly the pinnacle of the brand's SUV performance.

6 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT

Porsche's flagship SUV is just about the best SUV you can get if you want the best blend of performance and luxury. It's a well-crafted machine, capable of incredible things even in the base model, but move up to the Turbo GT, and you're met with shockingly impressive performance that may just make the model the best one-car solution in the world. The lineup was updated for the 2024 model year and received styling tweaks and interior upgrades. The GT, available only in the coupe body style, received a slight bump in power during that time, and it was enough to help it confidently keep its Nürburgring lap record, something we only see breaking when the updated Urus Performante arrives to steal it away.

Expert Opinion

"The Cayenne Turbo GT is where you go if you want a more fundamental Porsche experience but still want the daily usability and usefulness of a crossover. It blends supercar and SUV with such refinement that its price tag seems reasonable once you've experienced it."

5 Range Rover SV Long Wheelbase

Engine

4.4-liter Twin-Turbo Mild-Hybrid V8

Horsepower

598 hp

Few cars are as comfortable as a long-wheelbase Range Rover, and the SV edition elevates that comfort with a healthy dose of excitement. Featuring a BMW-sourced mild-hybrid twin-turbo V8, you have 598 horsepower on tap whenever you need to advance in a hurry, and inside you'll find a meticulously crafted interior with premium materials, advanced technology, and absolutely crazy amounts of customization. The brand is even releasing highly limited "Celestial" editions with specific themes that will offer an unbelievable amount of luxury and comfort beyond anything we've seen from the brand before. Just be prepared to spend a pretty penny because if the incredible Carmel edition is anything to go off of, this $200,000 vehicle could easily come close to half a million. That Carmel edition is ineligible for this list as its only sold in limited numbers (17 units), but carries an asking price of $370,000.

4 Aston Martin DBX707

If you want a luxury vehicle that's been built from the ground up with performance in mind, the DBX707 is the vehicle for you. When the DBX debuted, it came in a base 542 horsepower version, but even though performance there was still great, it left a little to be desired. The company fixed that with the 707, and it's been such a resounding success that the company is making it the only model in the DBX lineup for 2025. Also new for 2025 are some big interior upgrades, most notably to the antiquated infotainment system that finally brings the SUV on par with competitors. We have no doubt the model is only going to find more customers moving forward.

Lamborghini Urus SE

$258,000

Engine

4.0-liter V8 Twin-Turbo Hybrid

Horsepower

789 hp

Top Speed

194 mph

Following in the footsteps of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, Lamborghini recently introduced the Urus SE PHEV, featuring the same powertrain, but in a characteristic Lamborghini package that's made for performance. While some may not be thrilled Lamborghini's hot-selling SUV has gone electric, the benefit is 37 miles of electric driving range and even a top speed of 83 mph while you're doing it. Altogether, you get 789 horsepower on tap, making this the most powerful Urus model to date. Still, it's replacing the base Urus S and the Performante, meaning we can expect even more power out of a future Performante model, should Lamborghini revive the name. Styling has been tweaked, and the luxury updated too, keeping Lamborghini's SUV near the front of the pack.

3 Bentley Bentayga EWB Mulliner

Horsepower

542 hp

Top Speed

When your Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase isn't luxurious enough for you, you turn to Mulliner to improve the experience. This top-spec model is truly a palace on wheels, featuring seating for four in one of eight three-color combinations. The seats in the rear are where the magic happens, as Bentley has introduced "Airline Seats" that replicate the first-class seating you would normally find on an airliner with Bentley's special touch that allows them to deploy 177 different pressure changes along your journey to ensure that you arrive as refreshed as possible. Performance is solid too, with the twin-turbo V8 pushing out 542 horsepower, and with Bentley's Dynamic Ride soaking up all the bumps you'll be shocked how quickly you get to your destination without feeling a thing.

2 Ferrari Purosangue

The Most Expensive SUVs Available In 2024 (16)

Price

$398,350

Engine

6.5-liter V12

Horsepower

715 hp

Top Speed

193 mph

0-60 mph

3.3 seconds

Ferrari's first SUV, the Purosangue, has been everything a Ferrari should be: fast, luxurious, and downright gorgeous. This model is about performance, so don't expect the vast amount of lush accouterments you would find on a Bentley or Rolls-Royce, but it has all the Ferrari-flair on the inside and out to constantly remind you that you're in something special. It's the only production SUV on sale with a naturally aspirated V12 under the hood, which makes this a unicorn in a world that's downsizing and going electric. 715 horsepower will rocket you to 60 in just 3.3 seconds, and we have no doubt its 193 mph top speed will arrive soon after that. If you can afford it, it's about as close as you can get to a sports car as you can get in the SUV segment.

1 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge

Engine

6.75-liter V12

Horsepower

592 hp

If the Bentley or Ferrari aren't doing it for you, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge is here to wipe your worries away in unabashed opulence. The model has been refreshed for 2025, giving it a more prominent front and rear fascia, with the technology improved on the inside thanks to a new digital driver display and touch screen. There are a dizzying array of customization options, and we have no doubt even more are at your fingertips if you're willing to pony up the cash. Power and performance aren't the main focus, but you won't have to worry about getting up to speed with nearly 600 horsepower on tap. Its starting price of $450,000 (the regular model starts at $405,000) should tell you that this model will offer you all the luxury you can imagine, and if you can't, just take some time to get inspired.
