My Spy: The Eternal City's Rotten Tomatoes score breaks Dave Bautista's incredible streak after 10 movies. A sequel to 2020's My Spy, the new spy comedy follows Bautista's CIA operative, JJ, and his precocious 14-year-old stepdaughter, Sophie (Chloe Coleman), who head to Italy on a high school trip and become involved in a terrorist plot targeting the Vatican. Along with Bautista and Coleman, Kristen Schaal and Ken Jeong reprise their roles from the first film with Flula Borg, Craig Robinson, and Anna Faris joining My Spy: The Eternal City's cast.
Now, shortly after its release on Prime Video, My Spy: The Eternal City's Rotten Tomatoes score has solidified at 15%, breaking Bautista's streak of Fresh ratings going back 10 movies to the original My Spy (48%) from 2020. The sequel has just under 30 reviews at the time of writing, so its score is expected to fluctuate slightly. For context, the original garnered almost 130 reviews from Rotten Tomatoes-approved critics. However, the sequel's score should remain rotten and break Bautista's streak.
My Spy: The Eternal City's audience score is also 41%, Bautista's first rotten audience score since the original My Spy (39%).
